Monthly tasks for us KISS girls who want to learn something new.
I thought you'd deleted the pic as there is nothing on the main blog page but it comes up when you click on it. Yes I think you are definitely on to something there. I will have a go at it probably not now until Monday. Thanks - hope you are OK?
How weird, since I posted the comment the pic has come back on the main page. Now no-one will ever believe me that it wasn't there! Don't suppose you noticed that I changed the layout of the page. I am sometimes a bit over the top in trying to be a perfectionist, especially when it is not necessary. When I posted these pics the comments were coming out very annoyingly on the side of the pic with half a word and hyphenation all the way down the side of the pic. I found a template called wide so tried that and it worked. Only trouble was I had to redo the Tasks which had come out at the bottom and wouldn't move over. So I had to redo them on the left which is how this template is sent out. Then delete the original ones.I know there is a way to get the pics to come up full size on the page without clicking. But cannot find it.
set out not sent out
Actually, I hadn't looked at the page at all as it was very late last night and I was VERY tired--did you get my email that my tests came out negative--no malignancy? I thought I'd written but I am so overwhelmed that I may have only thought I would and then thought I did.
No I didn't get the email. But fantastic news Mary. I am sure it meant you had the best easter whether or not you did anything. I know what you mean though. You tell some people and then don't know who you have and havn't told. I know I have told people things more than once before but hope I don't do it too often. But fantastic news!! You can tell me as many times as you like!
This is SO Pretty!!!
I have to agree with Mary - I actually looked expecting to find a sandwich (as in lunch, eating, yum yum) think I was think oh a new theme as we talked about food for a theme :-)
This is beautiful such vibrant but soft colours - hope you know what I am trying to say - I have "lensbaby" the fiddly one - not the new lensbaby - by the way - never opened, never used
Thanks gals. I had forgotten all about that pic. Sorry about the sandwich Barbara. I don't think I would be able to resist trying the lensbaby out even if it were not the new one. Hope you get time to some time.
I would LOVE to play with a lensbaby--I hope you have time! I do so like this picture.Sandwich. I made a great one for our picnic Friday--a plain turkey and who wheat until I added spinach, home-grown tomatoes, basil (fresh) olive oil, balsamic vinegar--turned out great.
Your food always sounds so healthy and delicious. Geoff makes our bread it is one of his jobs. We always have a mix of wholewheat and malted brown. If we use all wholewheat it is very heavy - just like a brick. It's not easy to get shots of food. By the time you have made it you are too hungry to take pictures of it. We have a curry night at the pub tomorrow. We all bring along a curry and the pub supplies the plates, the rice and the naan bread. Mine is a lamb curry. It has cardomom seeds, garlic, grated fresh ginger, ground turmeric, ground cumin and mild chilli powder in it along with onions, cream, creamed coconut and lamb of course. And naturally it is in the Messing Cook Book.
That sounds wonderful!!!!! Yum.I was thinking of going down and making something probably no one else would like--a liver omelet.
Count me out on that!
It was delicious! :-D Mmmmm :-D(really!)
I seem to always come in at the finish of these conversations, Mary your sandwich sounds wonderful, balsamic vinegar and oil ooooh yum. I used to make all our bread when the girls were young (my sister still makes hers and if I am lucky she occasionally drops a loaf into me). Your curry nights could make a colourful shot Kate - that recipe sounds good, I really enjoy roti. That reminds me I used to love Oat Cakes - my father makes them, that was a jump from curry to scottish oat cakes and this on a photography techniques blog - if the blog was about baking would we talk photography I wonder ?
I used to make all my bread homemade, as did my mother and grandmother--BUT I stopped doing it, except as a special treat, because I tend to eat more of it.That curry sure does sound great--I think I need to make one.
Oatcakes are something I don't know much about. Not sure I ever had any.Maybe we shoudl start a food blog so we can talk about photography, LOL!
I like flapjacks made with oats. Must have been the first recipe I used to make on my own when I was about 9 or 10. I wish I had a wee camera to take places like the pub and other events in the village. Because I always have to do things like collect money and sell raffle tickets I can't very well just leave my camera laying around. If I had a little one I could stick it in a pocket. Maybe one day.
I have a Canon digital Elph and it works great for that purpose. It's tiny, fits in my pocket, and takes pretty good pictures. It's not god for everything, though.
I love this!
Thanks - Can't think why I gave it black sides. Also latest thing from our judges on digital images is that they do not like wide borders. Actually I don't like this border any more either. But sometimes I like to go against the judges if that is what I think looks best.
